 Food Court (3rd Floor) 5:30pm – 7:30pm – First Night Spokane’s “Rising Stars” presents the Community School Drummers consisting of 9th – 12th grade students and their two drumming teachers from The Community School in Spokane. All the rhythms played are traditional West African/Afro-Cuban rhythms. They love audience participation, so feel free to move, dance, clap, and enjoy yourself! The Medicine Wheel Academy Drummers are 9th – 12th grade Native students from Medicine Wheel Academy at The Community School. These drummers/singers come from various tribes to perform traditional-style songs. 7:30pm – 9:30pm – The Scenic Roots – A fine acoustic rock band made up of talented Gonzaga students playing an assortment of covers and original pieces.
