March for Meals

March for Meals is coming to River Park Square March 1!! Line up at the starting line at 10:00am and lap downtown until 1:00pm. Participants will walk laps through the skybridges raising money and awareness for Meals on Wheels AND winning door prizes!

Want to win a ride to dinner in a classic beauty? Meals on Wheels will be using a 1931 Buick to promote their annual March for Meals.  Watch our first level for the car display (February 19-March 4) along with raffle tickets being sold to win a ride and dinner for two!!

Visual Arts Tour: Gonzaga Students’ Art Display

How can one capture three-dimensional art in two dimensions? How can one make dance still and stillness dance? Director Suzanne Ostersmith and students from Gonzaga University Dance Program celebrate the challenge with a visual arts exhibit, “The Essence of Dance.” Join us Friday, February 3rd for an opening artists’ reception, 5:00-9:00pm in the Kress Gallery. Opening includes a live dance sculpture. The display will be in the Kress Gallery now through February 26, 2012.

Also Friday, February 3rd,  in the food court hear the Big Bing Theory, Gonzaga’s a cappella choir (5:30-7:30) and Odyssey 7th & 8th grade jazz band (7:30-9:30).

Visitors will also learn about how to eat a balanced meal, the food pyramid, the body’s need for water, and proper portion sizes.  In doing so, everyone experiencing this exhibit will learn to live “Healthier Ever After.”
