The Spokane Complex fires have deeply impacted our region, displacing thousands of our neighbors and creating an immediate need for support across our community. Our hearts are with everyone affected, and we are incredibly grateful to the firefighters, first responders, volunteers, organizations and neighbors who continue to show up for Spokane.
Below, we’ve gathered resources for those affected, trusted organizations accepting donations, and ways River Park Square and our community are lending a hand. As this response continues to evolve, we encourage you to confirm current needs and information directly with each organization.

How River Park Square Is Supporting Our Community
In times like these, even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We're proud to see members of the River Park Square community coming together to support our neighbors affected by the Spokane Complex fires.
Donation Drive at River Park Square
River Park Square is proud to partner with local organizations to collect essential items for individuals and families affected by the Spokane Complex fires. Donations bins will be located at the Concierge Desk beginning Saturday, August 8, where contributions will be sorted and delivered to trusted nonprofit partners serving our community.
Hygiene & Personal Care Items (New & Unopened)
Delivered to Project Beauty Share
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, feminine care products, body wipes and other everyday personal care essentials.
Clothing (New or Gently Used)
Shirts, pants, shorts, sweatshirts, jackets, socks and new underwear (new only), along with other everyday clothing for adults and children. Please ensure gently used items are clean and in good condition.
School Supplies & Backpacks (New or Gently Used)
Delivered to Communities In Schools for their Tools 2 Schools Supply Drive in partnership with KREM 2 and sponsored by Office Depot
Backpacks, notebooks, folders, binders, pencils, pens, crayons, markers and other classroom essentials to help students start the school year ready to learn.
Nonperishable Food (New & Unopened)
Delivered to Second Harvest Inland Northwest
Canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, granola bars, shelf-stable snacks and other nonperishable food items. Please ensure all donations are unopened and within their expiration dates.
Gene Juarez Salon & Spa at River Park Square is supporting wildfire relief through a community fundraising campaign benefiting Project Beauty Share and the City of Spokane's H.O.M.E. Starts Here Fund. Guests can make a monetary donation during their visit, purchase retail products to support the campaign or donate new beauty and personal care items for Project Beauty Share. Together, these efforts help provide essential hygiene products and direct recovery assistance to individuals and families affected by the Spokane Complex fires.
Meal Support & Community Gathering
Flatstick Pub is offering free mini golf, duffleboard and pizza for individuals and families displaced by the fires, providing a welcoming place to relax, connect and enjoy a meal.
They will also host a Community Gathering on Monday, August 10, from 4-10pm, featuring a complimentary community meal, games and an opportunity to support ongoing relief efforts. Donations collected during the event will go directly toward assisting those displaced by the Spokane Complex fires.
Clothing Assistance
Gap Inc. is helping support families impacted by the Spokane Complex fires by offering 50% off purchases at participating Spokane-area stores through August 16. Participating locations at River Park Square include:

In addition to providing in-store support, the Gap Foundation is donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross to help fund wildfire relief and recovery efforts.
Shop to Support
Throughout August, Rocket Bakery is donating 10% of all retail coffee bag sales to the Innovia Foundation. They also continue their ongoing partnership with Second Harvest by donating leftover pastries to help support the community.

Monetary Donations to Trusted Organizations
One of the most meaningful ways to help is by making a financial contribution to a trusted relief organization. Monetary donations allow nonprofits to respond quickly to changing needs, providing essentials such as temporary shelter, meals, clothing and long-term recovery assistance. Join River Park Square in supporting the following local wildfire relief and recovery funds.
The Innovia Foundation's Spokane Complex Wildfire Response Fund provides flexible funding to trusted nonprofit organizations responding to the immediate and long-term needs of those affected by the Spokane Complex fires. One hundred percent of donations support local relief efforts through experienced community partners, helping individuals and families with essential services as recovery continues.
STCU will match donations up to $100,000 made through the Here for Good Foundation
The City of Spokane has activated the H.O.M.E. Starts Here Fund to provide direct assistance to community members impacted by the Spokane Complex fires. Donations stay 100% local and help meet immediate and long-term recovery needs, including housing assistance, essential household items, medical equipment, transportation and other necessities for individuals and families rebuilding after the fires.
Catholic Charities Eastern Washington's Emergency Fund provides immediate and long-term support to individuals and families affected by the Spokane Complex fires. Donations help provide essential items, emergency housing, counseling, case management and other critical services as community members begin the recovery process.
The American Red Cross is leading relief efforts for those displaced by the Spokane Complex fires, including operating the evacuation center at the Spokane Convention Center. Donations help provide emergency shelter, meals, health services, emotional support and recovery assistance, ensuring individuals and families have access to essential resources throughout the recovery process.
Donate Essential Items to a Local Organization
Beyond financial giving, donating essential items is another powerful way to lend a hand. Local nonprofits are collecting everyday necessities to help families rebuild with dignity and comfort. Before dropping off any items, we encourage you to check with each organization first to confirm current needs, so your generosity reaches those who need it most.
Second Harvest of the Inland Northwest
Accepting donations of non-perishable food items at their warehouse at 1234 East Front Avenue from 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Monetary donations are accepted at 2-harvest.org.
Partners Inland Northwest
Partners INW is open Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm at 10814 E. Broadway Avenue in Spokane Valley accepting and distributing food, clothing and diapers for those in need. Support their mission with a donation at partnersinw.org.
Spokane Teacher's Credit Union (STCU)
Accepting donations of school supplies at participating STCU branch locations beginning August 3 to help students across the region start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. Most-needed items include composition notebooks, college-ruled paper, 3-ring binders, dividers, pencil boxes, erasers, rulers, highlighters, blue pens, markers and scissors. Learn more at stcu.org.

A Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) is now open as a centralized resource hub for individuals and families affected by the Spokane Complex fires. Visitors can connect with city and county departments, nonprofit organizations and recovery specialists for help with forms, case management, emotional and spiritual support, and other recovery services.
Those affected are also encouraged to visit spokanecommunityresources.org for additional assistance and recovery information. The DAC is not accepting physical donations; community members wishing to donate should use the website so contributions can be directed where they are most needed.
